Anonymous asked: Hello, Beautiful work! I was curious about your process. Is it a chemical reaction or paint? Thanks Rick Nashville,Tn
Thank you!!
It is a chemical reaction. The paints are a finely ground metal in an acrylic base. The raw paint is rather bland looking when first applied, but I apply several layers of copper over bronze or bronze over iron and any other combination there in. Then I apply different solutions that cause the reaction of iron turning into rust, the copper and bronze into patina blue or green.
Happy Holidays!
